Tahun ni we celebrated Hari Raya @ Johor. Macam biasa la, we stuffed our face with ketupat, rendang, lontong, nasi beriyani, lemang, cookies, etc.  . Pretty same as before.
However this year is kinda special to me since I got to meet my cousins yang dah lama tak jumpa (although merely separated by Selat Tebrau  ). But some couldn't make it sebab kerja.

I friend text me, "dah berbulan2 aku masuk FB ko, camtu ajer!".
OK, let me explain :
1. My study is hectic. And sad. And I certainly don't have time for vacations or trips.
2. I have developed a new interest - sleeping.
3. I prefer to keep my private life low these days (close friends can understand why  )
4. Lastly, my adrenaline is not pumping so well. In the layman term, MALAS.

Langkawi Escapade DAY 3
|
|
Since we failed to ride on cable car yesterday, we decided to return to the Oriental Village first thing in the morning . We were the first to get on the cable car..haha!!! Mana taknya, before 9.30 kitorang dah queue kat depan counter and our effort finally paid off! Before naik cable car, aku rasa confident sangat nak sampai kat atas gunung tu without rasa takut. Sekali, bila cable car bergerak jer aku pun transform jadik patung buddha...hehehe...it was damn high! But the 360 degree view memang awesome, undescribable lah! We could see the Andaman sea, a bit of Thailand (though i cant tell between the Langkawi archipelago and Thailand ...banyak sangat island yang aku boleh nampak), the entire Geo Park, Telaga Tujuh, etc. Everything looks like picturesque...hilang takut kejap.
Reach the peak safe and sound , terus jalan2 kat platform which stands approximately 700m above sea level. Boleh tahan sejuk. But vision quite poor due to thick fog. Pastu gi jalan pulak kat hanging bridge tapi aku tak berani cross pun sebab gayat...hahaha. Hubby jer yang cross the bridge Lepas ambik gambar lebih kurang, turun balik..lega dah jejak tanah rendah!
Next we visited Taman Buaya, then went to Datai tapi tak tau pulak rupanya the Datai is a private beach, tak dapat la masuk. Had lunch at Harbour Park then return to hotel to check out (extended to 3 pm sebab syok sangat berjalan). Lepas check out, pegi balik shopping kat Kuah memandangkan our flight was at 8.15 pm. Memang kali ni kitorg shop till drop . Even bought new bag to sumbat all purchasing. (When we arrive in Langkawi, we had 2 bags. Return to KL with 4 bags!! )
Well, all in one, I could say Langkawi has everything that we need. Berbaloi holiday kat sana. We can't get enough of Langkawi for these 3 days, to be frank. So most probably we will come here again, someday

Langkawi Escapade DAY 2
|
|
Itinerary of day 2 boleh dikatakan packed jugak. After breakfast, we drove to Awana Porto Malai to get a boat for island hopping. The boat ride took about 3 hours where we were brought to visit Pulau Dayang Bunting, Pulau Beras Basah, Pulau Singa Besar and Pulau Ular . These islands were sooOoOOo beautiful, no doubt Langkawi is regarded as Mauritius of Asia (as been told by the islander la...). Gambar tak banyak sangat masa island hopping especially on the boat sebab tak berapa stabil (takut camera terjun laut!), pastu kitorg gi mandi2, malas nak ambik gambar byk2.
Later, we had lunch at Pantai Cenang and return to hotel for some rest. Then pegi Oriental Village. We wanted to ride on cable car but due to strong wind, tak dapat la naik. So we just lazed around the village, shops at The Zon (shopping lagi...hehe), pegi makan laksa kat Pantai Kok, then satisfied our cravings for seafood at The Nelayan (Do not expect photos, we got so preoccupied with the foods and dining alfresco!). Afterwards, return to Pantai Cenang for some nightlife, tapi ramainya orang kat sana particularly the tourists. Almost every pubs, lounges and eatery full house. Jadi kitorg pusing2 kejap jer kat situ, pastu balik hotel.
As for day 3, nanti lah yea, bila2 rajin aku update. It took forever to upload photos sebab WiFi kat umah aku ni tak power la...

Langkawi Escapade DAY 1
|

Finally, I managed to squeeze some time to update this photo blog! And oh, Happy New Year everyone!!!! I don't come up with new resolution, it is always the same - to achieve a slender silhouette (yeah, right!) but end up with more kilos!
Anyway, we welcome 2009 with a retail therapy session at Langkawi, where you can shop till drop while enjoying holiday in a very Malaysian way...hehe
My initial plan was a beach holiday at Pangkor but hubby was not happy with the idea of me strolling down the beach in my 'bay watch suit' so we called it off. Plus the monsoon season. And after 4 months of religious web surfing, we finally chose Langkawi for the sake of shopping (tujuan utama) and visiting Tasik Dayang Bunting (we heard of its mystical power to improve fertility...hehe). Tapi awal2 lagi hubby dah warning - no shorts, no swimming suit, so sleeveless only decent clothing. OK boss!!! hehe...
We stayed at Helang Hotel.This hotel is so fab, we got nothing to complaint about...hehe.
The room is super spacious and comfortable, contrary to its shabby exterior. And the services rendered is unforgettable (kudos to Helang Hotel). A real value for money.
Day 1 was spent at Underwater World (too bad, tak apa yang menarik sangat  ) and watching sunset at Eagle Square. Then did some cookware shopping at Kuah town...hehe

I made plan to surprise hubby with a weekend vacation...and glad that he really loved it to bits!! hehe...
We hardly have time for vacation as both of us lead a typical 'pagi keje, malam balik' life. I guess an occasional treat will be great to compensate our time together
Is planning our next trip...tak sabarnyerrr!!!

Since hubby is leaving for Japan, he got me a pair of hamster to keep me company . Thank you dear, so sweet of you! At least I have something to keep me busy bila balik keje...tak la bosan sangat...
